Hi all. I agree that the MTGenWeb logo needs to be static and recognizable.
I don't want to pour water over anyone's ideas, but I did want to mention
something. The individual county sites are handled by individual county administrators.
The USGenWeb has certain guidelines for the sites such as the requirement that the
USGenWeb logo be posted on the site. However the USGenWeb and the MTGenWeb cannot require
the county administrators to use a specific county logo.
County Coordinators need to have leeway. For example, Moffat County, Colorado contains
Dinosaur National Monument and is considered Dinosaur Country. Therefore the logo has a
dinosaur theme. Which I had a great deal of fun creating.
My Missoula County, Montana site has a logo which contains the mountain overlooking
Missoula. I forget if its Mount Jumbo or Sentinel Mountain as I'm suffering from
half-heimers disease.
Yellowstone County, Montana has a yellow logo with Pompey's Pillar in the center.
If you need help with a county logo, please let me know and maybe I can help you in your
county.
