Nancy -
I'm sure there are classes for doing web pages. Some computers have programs with
web pages on them so that all you have to do is fill in the blanks (for the advanced
folks, this is really simplified.). I bought a book by Laura Lemay entitled "Teach
Yourself Web Publishing with HTML 4 in a Week" and taught myself. I did this because
the computer programs didn't fit my needs. That has been a good number of years ago
now, and things may (probably!) have changed. My major advice, though, is don't be too
enamored with the "neat" stuff. Think about what you like to find on a genealogy
web page when you are searching. Then think about the information you can post on your
page. There are a number of web sites with clips to enhance or brighten your page, but
work at staying organized (this is not always possible). And most important, keep it as
simple as possible. That makes adding or changing the page ever so much easier and it
makes it easier for users to navigate your website!
. Good luck.
