The basic comment I have about the proposed new guidelines for county websites has not so
much to do with content - that seems fine to me - but verbage. For example, there are a
couple of places where Linda uses the word "must". "Needs" is a bit
more user friendly to me. I'm a rather folksy kind of person, and not an attorney. :-)
Is there a reason that which is already written can't be updated?
One more comment - I got some clips from a web site (Old Fashioned Clip Art). It was noted
on the website that the clips were in the public domain, but a link back to that web site
was requested, which I did. As time went on the web site owner tired of the project (or
possibly providing something for nothing). For a time there was a notice on the web site
that it was being updated. Now the web site is down and the URL goes to some flashy pop up
ads. Needless to say, I have dropped the link because the images were in the public domain
to begin with.
