Call for Grievance Committee members.
Please post to USGenWeb Project lists.
Tina Vickery
National Coordinator
USGenWeb Project
The one-year appointments of two Representatives to the
Grievance Committee have now expired and the Grievance
Committee seeks qualified and interested candidates. The
first appointment would be for the slot reserved for State
Coordinators or Assistant State Coordinators. The second
is for the slot for Special Project members. Any Member
of USGebWeb Project in good standing who qualifies under
one of these categories may file as a candidate for
consideration by the Grievance Committee, subject to final
approval by the AB.
To be eligible, you must be a member of the USGebWeb
Project or any Special Project with at least one year's
experience. If selected, your membership on this
Committee will be for one year. The primary
responsibility of the Committee is to identify, select,
train and supervise mediators to settle grievance
disputes. That is, the committee members will not mediate
disputes themselves, but will select and manage those who
do. A member should have an even disposition, an ability
to listen to both sides of an argument, and a willingness
to recommend solutions and instruct others.
Interested parties should communicate directly to me at my
e-mail address below, with their name, contact e-mail and
a paragraph with their background. I will present any
such candidate [more than one if we have more than one
interested] to the Committee for consideration and
selection. We would think this is a fast-track process
and certainly want and need to have it resolved in the
next few weeks or so.
