Greetings CCs,
I figure in these turbulent times an update would be in order.
This morning Kevin turned the mailing list over to me and I have been
working on making sure that all of our CCs are receiving messages. I
unsubbed several emails as not being a member but only one was an email
I am not sure whose it was. If you have an additional email subbed to
this list and it got unsubbed, please let me know. I am also working on
the state page and a spreadsheet so you may have gotten an email about
your email adresses if you use more than one. Please humor me and help
me get them all straightened out.
Additionally the two CCs that were appointed in May were not subbed to
the list. I have subbed Colleen Pistola, the new (as of May) CC for
Lewis and Clark county
(
http://www.hometownchronicles.com/mt/lewisandclark/) and Madison county
(
http://www.hometownchronicles.com/mt/madison/). Colleen is doing a
fantastic job and I want us all to welcome her to the project, however
belated it is. Additionally if you have links on your counties to
either of Colleen's counties, you will want to update the urls.
I will be subbing new Treasure CC, Natalie Holt later. She has not
gotten off the ground yet but we are working on helping her take
flight. We will welcome her when she is ready to forge ahead.
I have also subbed Ann Allen Geoghegan who is a CC rep on the National
Advisory Board for the NWP region. Annie G, as many call her, will be
assisting Representative At Large, Scott Burow with our election. Annie
is happy to address any CC concerns while she is with us. Scott will be
subbed as soon as he gives me permission. Shirley had suggested we have
2-3 non MTGenWebbers helping out and here are two. If anyone thinks we
require a third, please let me know.
To answer a question that was asked previously, the voting machine is
just a title we give to Scott's web program that handles elections. It
is not really a machine but a secure and anonymous way to hold an
election.
I believe that is all for the moment. I have not heard of anyone else
wishing to run for SC at this time. If you are pondering the move,
please let Scott and Annie G. know. We will go ahead with the election
as soon as Scott is prepared and we are sure we are ready.
In closing, I would ask that everyone take a look at their index pages
and tidy them up when they see deficiencies. Some of the little fixes I
have seen this week are missing graphics, no email contact and missing
or misplaced project logos. The USGW requires their logo in a prominent
place. In most people's thinking that is somewhere on the page that you
are looking at when you open the web site (think computer screen). If
you have to scroll down to the bottom, your logo is not prominently
placed. If everyone could look and see if they could work with both the
USGW and the MTGW logos being prominently placed with their county
decor, I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks everyone for being a terrific crew. Don't hesitate to contact
myself, Nancy or our guests, Scott and Annie for assistance.
All my best,
Karen DJ
