Good morning,
I am sharing the end result of this post since it was made on the
list. I feel it important that you are aware of your fellow CCs as
this project is basically a coop of county coordinators.
I wrote to Jim privately yesterday at 2:45 CST. I said that I would
post on the list if I didn't get a reply. The post here went at 7:45.
I received a response to my personal email at 7:53 and Jim unsubbed
from this list at 7:58.
He reply indicated that he works 60 hours a week, has a very active
teenager and frankly doesn't like to be on the computer when he gets
home as he works on computers all day. He then resigned.
I wrote back to let him know that I certainly understand, work and
family come before the MTGenWeb and that I could not participate in
this project if I had a job such as he does. I then told him he could
determine how he wants to split the sheets so to speak. Apparently
Jim has had a Co-CC for years that has not been on the membership
rolls, I will see if she would like the job but until I get word,
Granite county is going out for adoption.
This situation has highlighted the very critical aspect of
communication. This project cannot operate unless emails can be sent
and replied to in a reasonable amount of time. The standard reply
time limit is 48 hours unless you are out of pocket for some reason.
If you are going to be unavailable in the future would you please post
to the list or email me? I appreciate the contact information that
was sent to me last month. If you haven't provided that I would very
much appreciate hearing from you by the end of the year.
I am truly sorry to lose Jim but hopefully Granite county can be
spruced up and re energized.
Thank you one and all for the wonderful work you do,
Karen

Jim,
I have written a couple personal emails to you and I haven't gotten an
answer privately so I am writing to this public list. We need to fix
this communication problem, it is not just me. Your Co-Cc has not
received a reply to her emails in over a year. There is a historian
in Granite county that reports the same thing. This cannot continue
on like this. If necessary provide me a telephone number and let me
know your schedule. Let me know if you just are not receiving these
emails or if you don't have time to respond.
You need to upload your site once again to Rootsweb immediately. You
should have never taken it down to make corrections, you upload your
corrections to overwrite your site. Please do this right away, it is
not acceptable to take a site down while you are an active CC unless
you immediately provide a new site.
Karen
