I noticed also that the Yellowstone Site has the download banner. This
banner was added to the directory, essentially the same as the
ancestry.rootsweb banner on other sites. The file link <p style=
display:none> mentioned isn't in the Index page's HTML. Both the web and the
pc files are identical, and I scanned the web site file (index.htm) and
could find no trace of the link mentioned. Reloading the Index doesn't alter
the file, and I have no visible link to thw banner. How does one gain access
to that link?

Still haven't heard back from Sherri but based on the info on
Jamespot, I have told her to block France and then suggested the
server block all countries except US and Canada to the FTP access.
They already blocked a handful of countries which stopped the hacking
of a few weeks ago. If blocking all countries except US and Canada
still doesn't do it they will have to register each of our computers
for the FTP access. A pain but sure would stop this hacking unless it
is one of us.

Hi all,
Big Horn looks OK. But I use .shtml (not .html) on all my pages. Maybe
that made a difference.
Jamespot is a social network kinda like Facebook and/or My Space. Gives
people free space to post their blogs, photos, interests, etc. The
company
is probably not involved, but one of their users might be.
The script in the beginning of the hack is interesting: <p style=
display:none>. A value of "display:none" is supposed to turn off the
display of the element so it is essentially hidden. But not all browsers
respond to that command the same way. I can't see the links using Firefox
because it 'listens' to that script and hides the links, but can see them
using Internet Explorer 6.0 because it ignores that command.
Why someone would go to the trouble of hacking a site to add links then
trying to hide them makes no sense to me.
