There is still zilch connectivity. Since I am departing soon, this will be
my last attempt to humor the Web-Gods. Please keep up the frustrating cycle
of endless rumors of success others might have thought they enjoyed; (only
to find that YOU were tricked!) Your management of this 'thankless' task is
greatly appreciated by ME!
I know that when Adonna and I return from vacation in September - there will
probably be one or two additional server changes.....each vying for the
GenWeb's fantastic revenue to support someone's political ambitions?
I have been given more meeting attendances during the next few days than are
humanly possible - only three of my accidental doing; so I'll be shutting
down my faithless computer - as it dislikes me as much - or more so, than it
does the various servers! Or am I wrong in this assessment?

Thanks for the little chuckle Jim. I can actually attest to TWO server
moves on IAGenWeb and they were painless, must be the tech team taking all
the heat.
TODAYS UPDATE:
Over night last night the entire server went down and thankfully I was
sleeping when that happened. It was up an hour later. All the login and
PWs for mtgenweb have been reset to their original settings. I would now
ask everyone on the mtgenweb server to login to their counties to test that
they are working. Annie try the photo project as well. Please let me know
of any difficulties logging in and we will get you fixed up right away.
Thanks much,
Karen

Unexpected, sure .... :)
I went through a nightmare move in December, when the hosting company I
use
for seven sites for paying customers moved TWICE in a six-week
period.
Never been through such a nightmare in my life.
Except for every other time I've been with some hosting company that
changed servers.
One would think they'd get the process right, I mean, it's 2009 already,
right? But I've never seen a server move yet that went all the way
athrough
without hair-tearing and long, loud telephone calls to Tech Support.
The only reason I finally got Skype was so I can sit on hold for Tech
Support as long as I want without paying for it. Now I can out-wait any
call
center in India they want to throw at me. :)
