Hello Crew,
I am back online. Nancy thank you for calling. I was told that although
the IP address (numerical) changed, the log in information did not. I have
yet to hear back from our contact Joy on this continual problem. It is my
understanding that if you use a numerical IP address ie: 127.05.011 as your
host then yes you would need to change that. I was originally relieved
because no one has been issued the host as an IP address and the
mtgenweb.org was to automatically transfer to the new IP address. Evidently
there is some other problem.
I am going to set up an gmail address so that if I ever lose internet again
I can go to the library and use the gmail. Hopefully this will also help
with getting messages through sooner on these rootsweb lists that have been
a problem for over 2 months.
Thanks so much everyone and keep your fingers crossed we get this resolved
post haste.
Karen

I think the new webserver address will be the key.

I called the host company for our
mtgenweb.org and was told they
changed
the webserver address but not any usernames or passwords.
I can't check on it until tonight to see if inputing the new webserver
address fixes the login problem.
