Hi Jane,
The USGenWeb Northwest Plains (NWPL) Region County Coordinator sits on the USGenWeb
Advisory Board as a participant in all matters before the Board, but specifically is a
representative of the NWPL County Coordinators. The current NWPL Region consists of county
and state coordinators in: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska,
North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Wyoming.
The Board has a National Coordinator, 4 State Coordinator Regional Reps, 8 Local
Coordinator Regional Reps, 1 Special Projects rep, and 1 at-large representative. It
addresses USGenWeb wide issues; aids state projects; establishes and oversees committees;
and if necessary reviews formal grievances. Along with that come the many administrative
chores; for example the USGenWeb website. Although not written in the bylaws it is the
strong belief of me and others that the Board is responsible in assisting, training, etc.
of the backbone of the USGenWeb, the county coordinators.
Hope this helps and if need be will be happy to answer any specific questions.
Sincerely,
Mike
