No not every county site, just the ones on
mtgenweb.org. If you are on RW
you can stay put. LOL There is no guarantee with any server but to be
honest, I have never seen the problems on any other server that is on this
usgenweb.org sponsored location. We get free space due to an anonymous
donation but I am to the point that it is not worth it.
What I would like to hear is feedback from those of us who are using the
mtgenweb.org space. What would you like to do both with your counties and
what would you like to see the state pages do? Moving back to RW means our
data once again can be pulled in to ancestry but I am personally almost at
the point of not worrying about that any longer. I know we had an offer to
move sites to another server that one of our CCs uses, and that is also an
option.
Apparently we will yet again be issued new PWs over the next several days.
We have plenty of time to discuss this and any move we need to make. The
biggest task for a move would be the uploading of our pages to a new server
so you can keep that in mind when you think about moving.
Thanks everyone,
Karen

What do you mean by the "official pages?" Does this mean every county's
site? And, what is the guarantee all of this won't happen on another server?
I like the ease of uploading to roots web (I haven't been able to find an
FTP I like) and don't have the time to move everything I have on the Ravalli
County site.
