Thanks Judy, yours is the site I was pondering very seriously. If we can
still use
which we have registered than I would certainly like
to investigate this further. The state site does not have much data per se
so that is not an issue for moving other than the time to upload the pages.
What would be the county sites web address for the counties that wish to
move there? I want to remind everyone that as CC of your county, you can
have your county hosted wherever you wish. All you need to do is inform us
of your address for the state pages, inform your neighboring counties and
you are free to go wherever you like.
More input would be greatly appreciated if you can find some time this
weekend.
Thanks everyone,
Karen

First I will say "Knock on Wood"
accessgenealogy.com or
Montanagenealogy.com have not been hit, and presently we host OregonGenWeb
and AlabamaGenWeb and several other county sites. I have offered free
space
to anyone who needs the space. In the case of Montana they would still be
able to use the
mtgenweb.org name for the county pages. All we ask is a
link back to us and we also have a logo for that purpose.
There is nothing I dislike more than have to move a site from one server to
another, it takes forever, its a Royal Pain, and most of us have a real
life
and moving a site takes us away from that. I can't say for sure but there
may be a way that Dennis could help with the move, he does all the tech
stuff.
