Howdy, Jim,
Sounds much like the invitation what we got some time ago-- and came
to the same conclusion.
They don't call this the Wild-Wild-Web for nothing! Snake Oil
salesmen with shills and all!
(But that beats having some do-gooder government protecting us from
all ills! :-)
Good day here too. Even got a bit of rain to appease the dry earth
for a bit.
As for the list being quiet, I was thinking the same thing, but have
not forgotten the last round of fiascos, so am not gonna complain
about quiet! :-)
Anybody know what is coming up for a vote?

Today I received an email from someone running a advertising
billboard called "censusfinder.com" wanting me to link to her site.
I declined, because the site has no actual data to offer, just a
collection of links to census sites anyone can find on their own
with 5 minutes of effort, plus paid advertising.
I may be just an old curmudgeon here, but I don't put in the work I
do in order to drive customers to commercial sites to add to their
click-through count.
I'm willing to be convinced otherwise, but in the meantime I just
thought I'd point this out in case you all receive the same
"invitation."
Other than that, I'm having a pretty good day, and I hope you all
are, too. Conversation on the list has been quiet lately.
