Linda Lewis posted this to the state list. Most of you have probably already
done this, but on your county pages you can and should have a link directly to
your COUNTY archives table of contents rather than, or in addition to, a link
to the entire MTGenWeb archives. Its a good idea if you don't already have
it.
Also, you can apparently have a search engine that searches just the Montana
County specified for a surname or whatever. Elizabeth Burns did that on the
MTGenWeb Project Archives, but I'm not sure how it all works. Here's the note
from Linda Lewis, National Archives Coordinator, if you want to try it out.

Subject: [STATE-COORD-L] Customized USGW Archives Search
For a customized search engine on your page, no matter which server it's
located on, you can copy the coding I have on the Lunenburg VA toc
(table of contents) of the USGenWeb Archives: (script is at the bottom)
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/va/lunenbur.htm
Just replace the appropriate things:
"/va" with your state abbreviation
"/va/lunenburg" with state/county
"/va/lunenburg/cemeteries" with appropriate state/county/directory
"/va/lunenburg/census" with same appropriate
This will search your county's files located in the Archives and provide
another helpful tool to your visitors.
