This sort of thing was done a lot in the "early days" and
it's a scam, in my opinion. So many people were burned by
these pirates that there are now laws protecting the owners
of trademarks against domain name hijacking, and I think a
lawyer knowledgeable in the area should be contacted.

An individual has been buying the
xxgenweb.com and
xxgenweb.org
domains and "parking them". At the request of our
National
Coordinator, Holly Timm, I'm letting MTGenWeb know this.
I
understand the individual has stated she would "turn the
domains over
to the State USGW project when they (the state project)
incorporates".
I'm not sure if a) the AB is planning on doing anything
(Holly has
attempted to contact this individual without success); b)
if
the AB
can do anything, c) if we (MTGenWeb, USGW) should do
anything.
