To: Holly Timm, National Coordinator, USGenWeb Project
Dear Ms. Timm;
It's discouraging and embarrassing to watch the leaders of
the Project engage in public mud-wrestling.
I would probably have taken the same action you did in the
case of Ms. Lindquist. That's not the point. The point is
that the Board and Project leadership seem always to be
involved in pecking at each other in this way.
During my long involvement with USGenWeb, I remember few
times when the leadership was not engaged in some internal
battle. The power struggles and empire-building are
disheartening to those of us who have less grandiose things
to concern us.
After watching this constant school-yard warfare all these
years, I have to tell you that if those of you at the top
don't shape up and work for the good of the organization
instead of battling each other for your own little kingdoms,
many of us here at the bottom are going to throw up our
hands, walk away, and find better things to do with our
volunteer time.
