Hi, Folks -
Now that summer is over, and we finally have all counties filled and the
new state pages in working order, this might be a good time for everyone to
check his counties.
Some things to look for: Broken links, bad graphics, old GenConnect logos,
correct link to USGW Census Project, current SC name, your current ID, etc.
In light of the lovely search engine sites, such as
FamilyDiscovery.com,
that charge people to find your free pages, you might want to be sure every
html file has your county name on it, and a link back to your home page,
for your own protection.
For other suggestions/reminders, check out the CC Guidelines page:

If you're like me, you can stare at your own pages so long that you don't
see errors, so Nate has been kind enough to help out. He'll be visiting
the counties, and the great thing is that he has a link-checker program.
He will let you know if the program finds a bad link. It works great - it
made checking out the state pages much easier, when I was trying to get
them proofed and online.
Don't forget - if you have uploaded a new file, made some changes, or even
just spruced up your county, let me know so I can post it on What's New.
Thanks!
Ellen
