Hi, Folks -
There have been several additions to What's New, if you'd like to mosey on
over:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~msgenweb/whatsnew.htm
One item, that I hope everyone reads, concerns the new MSGW feature page:
----
New MSGenWeb Feature - News Of Mississippi Cemeteries - Information about
clean-up projects, vandalism, transcriptions in progress, special
ceremonies, and restoration. Submissions
welcomed! It is very sad that the first entry concerns recent serious
vandalism at the Natchez City Cemetery, in Adams County. Read about it -
can you help? 03/13/02
----
I know we're all just sick about things like what happened in Natchez. I
am especially sad in this case, because one of the markers belonged to
someone in my line, a young girl who died in 1917.
I've learned that researchers really do visit and enjoy the MSGW special
pages, and I think this one will be popular and very helpful. But as
always, we're dependant on submissions. So if you run across some
information about a local cemetery that you would like to pass on, or if
you would like to put a blurb on the county lists about the new page, that
would be great! Any news about Mississippi cemeteries, public or private,
is fair game. :-)
Thanks!
Ellen
