Hi, Folks -
Having heard no dissenting opinions, the SC term limitation, or lack
thereof, has been added to the guidelines, per your suggestions:
"There is no limit on the length of time a State Coordinator may serve, or
the number of times a former State Coordinator may run for re-election. An
election for a new State Coordinator will be held upon resignation of the
current State Coordinator, or upon the call for an election by a minimum of
25% of the county and special project coordinators, and their assistants."
Currently we have right at 60 eligible voting volunteers in MSGW. The 25%
figure would put the required number of volunteers necessary to call an
election, at 15. It's a pretty good number, I think. It's no so few that
a handfull of CCs could constantly be throwing us into election status, but
a high enough number that should eliminate the need for the National AB to
step in.
The figure would also easily allow for an "emergency" election should the
SC suddenly disappear, perhaps due to illness.
Hope this is ok for everyone. If you ever have a question/suggestion about
the CC Guidelines, don't be afraid to speak up.
