Debbie,
I'm going to respond to this here...simply to tell you that I do know how
you feel in some of the things that you said here. I have been there many
times, about to just give up and quit!!!! Then get an e-mail from someone,
(often a warm fuzzy or similar), and hanging on. Never fear, this yang-yang
will stop, and all will be ok again. Hang in there kid!! :o)

Well gang I spent about 5 hours tonight reading the transcript of the
chat
session. I was unable to attend due to work. After reading all of this I
had made my mind up that I was just about ready to give up Pontotoc County
and just get on with my life and the search for my own family. I came to
my
puter prepared to send the e-mail to this list announcing my
resignation
cause after reading that transcript my heart just didn't seem to be in
this
anymore. Just felt like with working 40-60 hours a week at my job
taking
care of a house and family and then spending countless hours working on
the
Pontotoc County page and transcribing census records that all this
bickering and ying yanging was just to much. When I opened my mailbox I
had
new mail what a surprise lately my mailbox has been quite full. But
there
was something in this new mail that made me change my mind. I had one of
the people on my mail list send me some wonderful information that he has
spent hours transcribing to add to the website. Also had someone else send
me info to add to our reunion page. This was a wake up call. I love doing
what I am doing and have decided that the most important thing around here
is making sure that I abide by the commitment that I made and that was
seeing that I could get as much info online for people interested Pontotoc
County genealogy. So I for one am going to get on with the business at
hand
and take care of me and my website and leave the rest of this to
whomever.
Any time that the power to be do not feel like I am doing what I am
suppose
to be doing and want me to move on then I will. I personally do not
feel
that our NC or AB have done anything wrong and think it is such a shame
that they have had to be crucified they way they have but that is my
opinion which I'm sure that I will receive flack for having this feeling
but guess what folks I don't care anymore. I keep hearing that everyone is
entitled to their own opinions and feeling but from what I have seen on
this that is not true. One last thing for the record I didn't write this
e-mail to try and stir anything up but felt like I had been keeping a lot
of my thoughts bottled up after having been blasted the last time I sent
an
e-mail so if anyone feels the need to response to this please send
it
direct so that they list doesn't get bogged down.
