I realize that it is Christmas and a lot of us are busy with holiday
things. But we do need to go over some things pertaining to my leaving
January 30.
First off, the SC must be elected, according to the Bylaws. Even if one
person comes forward, we will have to have an election even though that
person is SC by default. That will keep MSGW legal.
Second, We need to set a time table for this so here goes.
Any one interested in the SC position, needs to announce that by Midnight
PST, Friday, January 4th, 2001. Elections will be held the weekend of
January 11-13, with the winner announced January 15, 2001. That gives us
about 2 weeks for me to help the New SC get settled before January 30.
If no one comes forward by January 4th, on Monday, January 7th, I have to
announce on the State Coord-L that we are in need of a SC, there's no
precedent on this but if no one comes forward, the National Coordinator may
very well have to appoint a SC. I am not sure on this I can find nothing
in the bylaws that states this but It's a possibility.
So, Who wants the Job??? The rewards really are great and the people are
the best. I just have too many fish to fry at the moment.
Any question can be directed to me privately if you are just thinking and
don't want to announce your intentions yet!
Later, Linda
