Hello Rose and All,
Here is what was written about the map.
A really quite nice scarce early map of Tennessee tilted DIAGRAM OF THE
SURVEYING DISTRICT SOUTH OF TENNESSEE. Visually impressive, this nice map
is on crisp paper with bold crisp impression with some nice hand color.
Folding as issued, good size 13" by 16". By W. J. Stone, originally part of
a report to Senate, FROM 1838, 25th Congress 3rd Session. Nice detail
showing townships/areas surveyed, partially surveyed, not yet surveyed.
Super detail - Shows CHOCTAW AND CHICKASAW CESSIONS, Natchez, Vicksburg,
Grand Gulf, Jackson, Columbus, Granada! Several rivers by name. Some light
age tone around edges, typical roughness to area where previously bound,
otherwise excellent!
I have no problem selling you or any one else a copy of the
map. Right now we are just trying to get a good copy. As soon as we do I
will send you one. Please send my your snail-mail address.

I am interesting in buying a copy that we could frame to hang in
our Historical Society Building. Let me know if you are
interested in selling a copy. I don't remember the size that was
posted on e-bay, but would like a full copy.
