Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Several questions ignored? I was not aware of any questions that were "ignored", and I thought we were quite candid in
answering the questions given. If you feel that we were somehow side-stepping questions, as it sounds with a comment
about "several" questions being "totally ignored", I'd appreciate more specifics. What were these "several" questions
that were "totally" ignored? If you'd provide them to us, I'd be happy to provide as complete an answer as I can.
I'll be away from the computer until tomorrow evening, but will check my mail when I return.
Thank you,
Shari Handley

Yes, there were at least 2 questions totally ignored. Unfortunately,
due to space considerations on my old junker computer at home, I
could not log. Time for an upgrade. Maybe those who asked the
questions will repeat them here for all to get a chance to see the
questions and answers (if they will be answered for that matter).

Jackie,
One of the issues that was sidestepped in the later part of the chat was our
NC saying that he didn't know why he was invited to participate. . .he was
called on that and advised that we knew that Linda had sent an "invitation"
to him and requested that he ask the board to attend as well.
I've heard that he did not invite one or possibly two of the board members
who supported the CP. I'm in the process of confirming this and will let
you know.
My opinion has not changed after the Chat, in fact it stands stronger!
Ginny
I got kicked off and my log was erased but I think I can get another copy so please be patient and will get it up today!

Two more Board members have expressed interest in the chat and Tim says Thursday is good for him. So it looks like we may have a few people for ya'll to talk to.
I do plan to log, BUT if you have a question that you need answered in order to vote, PLEASE make every effort to come so you can get it answered if possible.
Voting ends Saturday at Midnight PST and if you have voted and realize that the facts have changed your decision you CAN change it, Just email the new vote to msgenweb(a)netdoor.com and just note that it is a change.
Thanks and see ya'll tonight on mIRC in #MSGenWeb!

Hi Gang,
Ok Here's the plan for the chat Thursday.
I have only heard from Shari as to her being there. I have not heard if Tim or others will show. In order to make this fair and accomplish the goal of talking reasonably with the NC and Board members who come, Belinda and I will moderate.
Between 7pm and 9pm CST Thursday, no ops will be given. If ANYONE gets nasty or makes personal attacks, they will be verbally reminded the first time, kicked off the second, and kicked and banned for the remainder of chat for the third offense. I know that The MS CC's will not do this BUT I have to state this for all parties. So there will be no misunderstandings.
ONLY MSGW CC's and Special Project People, (Fred, Keely, Rich, Nikki ), AB members, and Tim will be allowed to stay. Researchers and other USGW members will be asked to leave as this is an OFFICIAL MSGW business meeting with our invited guests. So, AS you come in Please IDENTIFY who you are and what County or Special Project you are with. When Normal Thursday Chat begins at 9pm CST then researchers are welcome as they do stop by from time to time. Everyone will be opped and you can proceed as normal.
I hope that everyone will try to come, especially if you have questions and comments for the Board and Tim. But It will be logged and posted for all to see by Friday AM.
Thanks and I hope to see you all there!
