I can't help you with the location of that cemetary, but I'd like to offer
you just a little piece of helpful advice. Try to get a good map of the area
that will show the county roads. I was in the Corinth area a couple of weeks
ago looking for cemeteries. It was a nightmare. Swore I wouldn't go back
without a map. And it was worse in Iuka. I don't know if the Welcome Center has
them or not. They were closed when we came through.
Good luck with your search.
We are looking for information for the Cemetery in Alcorn County where
quite a few of the early members of the Essary Family are buried. Various
entries in the McPeters Mortuary records describe the Cemetery as "Oakes
near Theo", or "Oaks Cemetery 10 miles west of Corinth", or "Oaks Family
Cemetery" . Does anyone know exactly where this cemetery is located and
also where the records might be? There is no mention of these names in the
list of Alcorn County Cemeteries. My Wife is an Essary and we will be
coming to Alcorn County to research in October.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I want to know if they were married in Corinth, Alcorn, Mississippi. This
