I'm looking for my greatgrandmother's brother, Charles Burgess, a
blacksmith, who was in Corinth on the 1880 census. Charles lost a leg in
Shiloh; served from Weakley Co. TN. His father was John and his mother was
May. I have very little other info on him.
Any info will be appreciated.

I am looking for the graves of my great grandparents: Charles Richard
Jordan (14 JUN 1850 - 14 JAN 1932) and Mary Busby Jordan ( 24 JUN 1854 -
abt. 1940). I am hoping maybe someone may have come across the graves in
their research. They both died in Alcorn County. So, I am fairly
confident they are buried there somewhere. They also lived for a time in
McNairy County, TN, and Tishomingo Co., MS. Any help or leads as to where
they are buried would be appreciated.

There will be a reunion for the descendants and related families of Samuel and
Presley Johnson in Iuka, Mississippi at the Fishers of Men Church on Old
Highway 72, east of Mineral Springs Park on October 20th. The doors should be
open about 10:00 for those who want to visit before lunch. Bring your
favorite dishes for lunch, and be sure the kids come. There will be fun and
games for them. Samuel and Presley were born in Wilkes County, North Carolina
and were in Hardin County, Tennessee in the 1830's before moving on to Iuka,
Mississippi. They married Elizabeth and Nancy Dickerson, daughters of David
Dickerson. They may possibly have been sons of Lewis Johnson who married
Susannah Chandler in 1789 and brothers to Rachel Johnson who married William
Hays. Other Johnsons who seem to have been closely related to them in Hardin
County included Larkin, David, and Alfred. Anyone who is interested may
e-mail me privately at the following address:
