Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Freedmen Bureau has work contracts and marriage records on microfilm. There
are 50 rolls of them . Also includes orphans list. Available in this set of
microfilm are marriage records for Davis Bend, Meridian and Vicksburg. Very
good information on them. 4610 was the number I remember as the identification

I need help with finding some info on my african american ancestors before 1870. I have found them in the 1870 and 1880 census - 1930 census. I cant find them in the censuses before it only list white people not black people. Maybe there are other records besided census records that can help me.
