Hi, I'm searching for information about:
EVANS, Edward, b. 1786, who, as a widower, married Hannah Jarett, a
widow, on 23 September 1816 at Risca, Monmouth, Wales. Their marriage
was recorded in the 1813/1837 Monmouthshire Marriage Index. Both were
residents of Risca at the time of their marriage. On the marriage
certificate of their son Thomas to Ann Croft on 19 April 1851, in the
Parish Church, Parish of Bedwellty, Countyof Monmouth, Edward's
occupation was listed as farmer.
COSLET, Hannah, was the maiden name of either Edward Evans' first wife
or Hannah Jarett. Jarett must have been the surname of Hannah's
previous husband; for, at the time of the 1851 Census for the Parish of
Bedwellty, Monmouth, Wales, Thomas Evans was living with James Jarett,
age 37, presumably Hannah's son by her prior marriage. At that time,
James Jarett's family consisted of wife Mary, age 29, daughter
Elizabeth, age 9, and twin sons age 6.
I'm most anxious to learn most about the above persons.
Thank you.
