Althea
Pontnewydd is part of modern day Cwmbran or Upper Llanfrechva in the late
1800's +. It has its own church with burial ground, unfortunately the burial
register at the records office according to the list only go up to 1924, the
next register must be at the church, I have a copy of the M.I.s for this
church if you want a look up.
There is a Municipal {Council} graveyard on Llantarnam rd which is another
option.
To be sure, you do mean Pontnewydd and not Pontnewynydd which is part of
Trevethin parish which does not have a burial ground.
