Hi Lynda,
I know the South Wales Argus was running then and they were pretty good at
reporting the local coroner's inquests. There is a complete run of the SWA
on microfilm in the reference library in Newport. If you ring the Newport
council call centre on 01633 656656 they will put you through to the
reference library and they can tell you what other papers they have on
film.

Hello List.
Can anyone help or advise me please. My great uncle Edward George Bendall
committed suicide on 05/12/1909 in the Great Western Railway Canal, near
Bullocks Bridge, Llantarnam. He was aged 29 years old.
A coroners inquest was held on 08/12/1909.
Can anyone please advise me as to what newsapers may have been in print at
that time. I may be lucky then to perhaps read the coroners report in one
of
the newsapers.
