Hello List,
Time to put in my research wants & wishes!! My paternal grandfather was
born in Rhymney, 18 May 1888 to Thomas & Mary Jane (Crocker) Dalgleish. Arthur
Dalgleish was the youngest of 6 children born to Thomas & Mary Jane. The
children were orphaned 6 months after Arthur was born. His two sisters lines
are what I am particularly interested in tracing, since I have been able to
fill in the "blanks" for all the boys in the family: My grandfather Arthur, of
course, his oldest brother Archibald Thomas, the next eldest boy Robert Samuel
who died at age 2 04 Mar 1882 and is buried.at Sirhowey, Tredegar, Monmouth.
The oldest child of Thomas & Mary Jane was Elizabeth Ann Dalgleish who
married Charles Clarke. She was born 22 Sep 1876 in Cardiff, Wales. Charles was
b. abt 1880 in London, England. They had two sons, Erik b. 1907 Bargoed,
Glamorgan., So. Wales & Reginald about 1910, prob. England. Elizabeth died abt
1963 in Coventry, Warwick, England, Charles d. 08 Aug 1969 Whitley Hospital,
Coventry, Warwick, ENG. I am interested in corresponding with their
descendants, as well as the descendants of Emily Dalgleish b.19 Jan 1882, either
Rhymney, or Tredegar, Monmouth, Wales, d. aft 1950, Wales. She married Jack
McMahon, b. 1877 of, Wales. They had 4 known children: Nan, May, Emily & Tom.
Would like to know more about the McMahon & Clarke ancestries, and a death
date for Emily Dalgleish McMahon if possible, and so on, hopefully to fill all
the blanks in my database!!
Thank you so much,
Kathryn Dalgleish Gregory
