Subject: Cwmyrdderch - Where is it?
Hello List, I have a birth certificate dated for 1856. The Registration district is Abergavenny.
The Sub-district is Aberystruth. The specific town is Cwmyrdderch. The spelling for Cwmyrdd ... is clear, beyond that it is
more problematic This place no longer exist. Does anyone have a clue to its location in 1856. I've tried a number of avenues,
but don't seem to have the right map to find it.
THANKS VERY MUCH

Hello
I am new to the list.
My interests are in the surnames HARRINGTON anjd CATON.
My Gt Gt GRandfather was a Dennis/Denis HARRINGTON and all I know about him
is that he was from County Cork, Ireland and had died by 1877.
My Gt Grandfather , son of Dennis, was John HARRINGTON born about 1850-1855
in County Cork, Ireland.
He died in Lewisham, London in 1897.
He had sevaral children, Edward John, Timothy, Daniel, Dennis Duchie,
William, Catherine and Ellen. All were born in Surrey or Kent between 1882
and 1895.
My grandfather was Edward John.
Daniel Harrington ( one of John's sons ) was living in Newport around
1904-1905. He was working as a tunnel miner later , in Canada, USA and
Mexico.
Are there any descendants of Dennis , John or Daniel Harrington out there in
the Newport area?
TIA
Pat Kelly
