As you are probably having to make lots of notes while researching, you might find these
forms handy:

The census record charts are particularly useful when visiting a FHL. I have developed
my own form for recording b/d/ms from the GRO indexes.
<<< Thanks
but I prefer bound notebooks to any loose sheets
I have a Danish book, a Stoke on Trent book and a Bristol book so when I go on an
expdiition I take the right one with me.
All in A4
and write a big to do list the day before
the big advantage of working at home with 1901 is I have the thousand names iimmediately
available for reference in FTM
http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/w/a/t/Hugh-B-Watkins/
I have two back ups the one above which is privatised
so when I wrongly deleted a date this morning I could get it back again
or when I was at Bristol Archive I could check something on the net via one of their
machines.
the other back up is a whole file unprivatised so if this lap top is stolen, or breaks, I
have a copy on a server out of house.
I have found a gg aunt became the proprietor of a New Forest hotel in about 1895 so I will
have to look for some Jones cousins in Hants. next. She took 4 working children with her.
For 1901 an A5 book has been better to fit by mouse and keyboard
