Hill are the priests who work there. The registers are kept at the
Presbytry and if you go and ask they treat you with great suspicion and
ask loads of questions before getting the register and looking for the
information. I had to produce my birth certificate before they would
tell me when I was christened!!! It does mean that the records are safe
if unavailable.
Older RC records should be deposited with the Archdiocesal archives, where ever that is,
not county record offices or PRO
They are in latin and not too detailed
before 1918 the RC church was a mission to UK
and did not have formal parish boundaries.
