I was contacted off list recently, and replied off list; neither message having appeared
initially on list postings that I ever received. Yet what I thought to be a private
conversation, was later posted to the list with editorial comment by one who was not
even
part of that conversation. Etiquette seems to be a nebulous issue; live and learn.
I get an unsoilicited letter from GPO
I do not regard that as private
same with email
this is my list address for public communcations
my private email is different and for family and friends and known to them
