The 1891 census for Wales shows the following entry:
Annie G BARTLETT, age 6, visitor, civil parish Llandevenny, Monmouthshire.
She is staying with the John BIRD family, his wife Emma, daughters Eva, Rosa
and Marisia and son, Hewy John Bird. Does anyone recognize this family and
know why she would be staying with them?
This is her father and brother in the 1891 census:
1891 Census Mynyddmaen, parish of Mynyddislwyn shows Absalom
Bartlett,57,born Closworth,mason,lodger,widow and Albert
Bartlett,19,son,born London,Newington,Surrey are living with Robert Hole and
his family.
It is believed that her mother died in 1888 so she may have been sent to
some family/relative, but I do not know of the connection to the BIRD
family, if any.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Diane
