I have just received news that Bryan Morgan passed away this morning at
about 4am. Bryan was the one who started this mailing list and even
after handing it on to me he continued to be an active list member and
was always willing to give whatever help he could to anyone who needed
it. His humour and wit brought great warmth to the list and gave me many
moments of laughter. I shall miss him.

Dear Ann and fellow Listers,
I, too, will miss Bryan very much. He has helped me and many others a
great deal over the years.
As well as his untiring efforts to help people with their genealogical
problems, his achievements include making Kelly's 1901 Directory for
Monmouthshire available on-line; setting up the community website for
his home village of Caerwent; and playing a major role in saving the old
Severn Princess ferry-boat.
As he said in an e-mail to me only two weeks ago, "...and I'm supposed
to be retired...!!"
We shall all miss him.
Sincerely,
John
