>'The Nylon'? Mamhilad Business Park?
At the 'Nylon'? Absolutely! And until she retired, my wife was frequently
heard to remark that she had go to "another darned meeting at the
Marmalade"...

Subject: [Mon] "the Nylon"
I had a little chuckel at Jeff's message saying that he didn't know what
British Nylon Spinners was called now. The official title is probably
Mamhilad Business Park or something along those lines. I believe ICI
have closed the factory now. To a lot of the residents of the county it
will always be "The Nylon". I recently gave directions to someone asking
for Goytre Wharf and blithely said "Take the first exit at the new
roundabout by The Nylon..." My husband translated this into modern and
the look of incomprehension was replaced with one of understanding.
