I am attempting to locate details of the baptisms of two of the children of
William and Ann EVANS. In 1841 William, a miner age 35 (rounded) was living
in Cwmcelyn, Aberstruth with his wife Ann aged 40 (rounded) and their
children Sarah, Mary, Lucrisia, and Margaret, of which only the last two
were born in Monmouthshire. Lucrisia was aged 5 and Margaret was aged 2.
Margaret's birth was registered as Maria (born Ebbw Vale, Bedwellty parish
on 22 February 1839).
I have been unable to locate William after the 1841 census. Ann witneesed
the marriage of their daughter Sarah to John POTHECARY (my x times gt
grandparents) in Llanely, Breconshire) on 7 August 1842 after which she
disappeared, as did Mary and Lucrisia! I have details of Sarah's life after
her marriage. Margaret (Maria) appeared in the 1851 census living with John
ans Sarah POTHECARY and then she too disappeared.
I would appreciate any help in locating details of the baptisms of the two
youngest girls and also learning what happened to those that disappeared.
The surname of course does not help!
