Hi Don,
Kelly's Directory of Mon. 1914
I could only find one named house but there could be many more
Mr. Farmer. dairyman, Woodside, Barrack Hill.
But also
Belvedere Terr. and Dos Rd. Barrack Hill.
So Barrack Hill was an area as well as a road.

Subject: [MON] NEWPORT-NEVADA
I just received a birth registration for a birth of James William
Henry
Crowhurst in Newport, 22 March 1908 and it gives the address as Nevada
Barrick Hill, Newport.
What is Nevada?
It lists parents as Harry Crowhurst, Clerk of Works, and mother as Mary
Crowhurst, formerly Young.
1911 census lists only Mary and son James age 3 living at 136 Barrack Rd.
Newport..
Also says Mary was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, but she was born in Halifax
Nova Scotia.
Husband was known as Henry on marriage registration in Halifax Canada,
24yrs of age in 1889. She and William emmigrated to Canada in Nov 1912.
Interested in Nevada and info on husband.
With thanks
Don Boyle,
Brantford, Ontario, Canada
