Hello Gladys
I suppose that you already have this info but just in case you don't
RG13/4929 142 Page 7
1901 Census gives
54 Pant Lane Abergavenny
Emma Farrington Mar.44
Andrew 19 son occupation TAILOR b. HEF Llangrove
George 16
Owen 11
Ella G. 3
So there was a tailor of that name in Abergavenny.
In 1891
Hannah WATKINS 71 is stated to be Emma's mother.
Henry FARRINGTON m. Emma WATKINS June Quarter 1881 Hereford 6a 871 so
these will be his parents it seems.
Have not found the CALDER person though.
If you want a copy of census, I will send you one off list.

Subject: [MON] Abergavenny tailor shops, abt 1920-1925
Good Morning List & Happy New Year to Everyone!
Perhaps someone can help me with a question about retail shops. I have a
picture of two men standing in front of a tailor establishment in
Abergavenny. I know one of them to be Andrew Farrington b abt 1890.
Only the entrance and one window is shown in the photo and the printing on
the window says:
LADIES AND GENTS TAILORS
J A CALDER A FARRINGTON
I estimate that Andrew is 30-35 yrs old.
The street address above the doorway says: 3225.
I notice the sidewalk in front is made of wide boards.
Can anyone tell me where to look for a listing of establishments about this
time?
I appreciate any help
