Good Morning, List,
All I can say is WOW! What a wonderful response I’ve received from list members. But I’m
not surprised..I’ve been searching on line for at least 10 years and the Welsh lists have
always been the most helpful.
Ten years ago I placed a request on the Glamorgan list for George Price, born in St.
Fagan’s, my grandfather. The very next morning I had an email showing the family on the
1881 census listed living at Rock Cottage. This fellow offered to drive home from work by
a different route to see if that cottage was still there...it was...he sent me a picture
..and I sat at my computer and cried!! I asked if I could pay him and he said: “Yes, pay
it forward!” Ever since then, I have been researching any requests from my part of
Alberta.
I still have not figured out the location of the tailor shop I mentioned but I do know
that Andrew Farrington’s father was Henry and his mother was Emma Watkins so the Andrew
Farrington born in Ireland, who emigrated to Chicago in 1924 is the wrong fellow. I
searched him for a while before I figured that out!
So as not to take up more space I will answer each person individually.
Thank you all, again, for your help.
