Look in
www.freebmd.org.uk for deaths.
Bedwas was in Newport Registration district. So was Mynyddislwyn.
If she died in Caerphilly, that would have been in Cardiff registration
district. That would give three possibles in Dec qr 1861, Sep qr 1863 and
Dec qr 1864.
If she went home to Gelligaer and died there, or died in Ystrad Mynach in
Llanfabon parish, that was in Merthyr Tydfil registration district and there
is a possible in March qr 1865. If she travelled a few miles north east to
Fleur-de-lis that would have been in Bedwellty registration district.
If the census enumerator in 1861 travelled around in the order he recorded
the entries, they lived up the mountain overlooking the Rhymney river valley
near Ystrad Mynach on the other (Glamorgan) side, or Maesycwmmer on the
Monmouthshire side. Twyn-Shon-Evan, a few entries later on the census, is
still shown on fairly modern maps.
If her age was right in the census, none of the deaths in Glamorgan or
Monmouthshire from 1866 to 1871 seem to fit.
If her children were baptised in Bedwas, you could look for her burial
there. However the church was right at the other end of the parish.
