Hi Robert
Thanks for answering my question The house was called Mill house which
makes sense if there had been a mill there. On the local website it
was said that Mill house was nearer the rugby club and that it had
been demolished and other buildings put up on the site but the house
that I`m thinking of was covered over by the waste from south celynen
colliery
thanks again
Sylvia

Hi Sylvia
The only building I can see on the 1879 map which fits that location appears
to be Newbridge Corn Mill, on the small spit of land between the railway
line and the river.

Has anyone got any information to give me about a farmhouse that stood at
the bottom of Beynon street Newbridge on the other side of the railway
line.? It was covered over by the waste from the South Celynen colliery
