Good idea, thank you Ann.
It's frustrating because those of us living overseas and intending to visit the
records office, we need to plan our time closely and if we don't know what records
and the call numbersare are available valuable time is wasted.
Sounds like a group email is the way to go.
cheers

Subject: RE: [MON] Gwent Archives Ebbw Vale
Luned everything has been transferred to Ebbw Vale but for some reason the
website does not include any catalogue or lists. I suspect it is all down to
money and they don't have a member of staff whose job it is to deal with the
website.
I suggest that you send them an email and ask and when they make excuses
just keep on asking questions. This is the 21st century so who would want to
see things on a website for goodness sake?
I shall email them too. In fact it might be an idea for everyone who might
want to see something from Gwent Archives address here
http://www.gwentarchives.gov.uk/index.htm
enquiries(a)gwentarchives.gov.uk
If they get enough people asking they just might do something.

There must be something wrong with my glasses! Where are the land records,
the parish registers etc? I feel I'm in another dimension here - help -
where have all the records gone, I thought all the records in the County
Records Office in Cwmbran were being transferred to new premises in Ebbw
Vale ?
Confused
