Hi Chris
There is a parish in Cornwall called St Neot. Could it mean they were from
there? Perhaps you could get the film of the original records from the LDS
and check is that is in fact what is written - sometimes it is hard to read
the writing. Does it actually have the full stops in it?

Thank You List for your replies in answering my query.
The printout I have has been transcribed as N E O T not M E O T
Thus after spending many hours trying to solve I thought I
would post my query on my favourite List having been a member
since 1998
Jon had I been subscribed to a London List I certainly would
have posted my query there
I assumed that perhaps one of the members would be far more
knowledgeable than I & be able to help & I assumed correctly
If at any time anyone has a query regarding Australian place
names or any other queries only too pleased to help
Hope that everyone has a great 2013
Regards
Chris
