Hello Ray
The Admission Records would show dates of birth, date began at that school
possibly date left and where to and names of parent or guardian plus
address and sometimes reason for leaving also sometimes previous school. I
don't think the records are online. Records should be in Gwent Record Office
in Merthyr if they have been kept safely. You can e mail the record office
and ask if they have the relevant ones . I have always found them helpful.
Regards

Subject: [MON] Pontnewynydd Schools c 1890
Good Evening,
Has anyone looked at the school attendance records
and,if so,do they contain the date of birth of the pupils? Are any of the
records online? And finally, does anyone know if the records are in the
Gwent Archives?
My g/father Ernest Davies, was living in
Pontnewynydd in the 1891 census, aged 8, so I am hoping they do.
Thank you ,
Roy Davies
