I have sent the following message to AOL, I know it won't do any good but it made me
feel better. I know they won't even dignify it with a reply but I felt you should all
know that inspite of spending the last three days in bed with a nasty cold I am still
trying to be a good list admin. I'm off back to bed now
Ann
I am a list admin for the Monmouthshire mailing list at
rootsweb.com. For some
inexplicable reason - and NO I don't believe your members have been complaining - AOL
has decided to bounce all mail from rootsweb to my list members. These are all intelligent
human beings who have decided to join our mailing list of their own free will. They are
also paying AOL to provide an email service that will deliver their messages. You have
failed each and every one of the names below and you are not providing them with the
service that they are entitled to. Please ensure that Rootsweb mail is NEVER included in
your blacklist of bulk mail senders, these AOL customers are paying you to get it right so
you could at least try and remember that Rootsweb mail is NOT spam. You could also
apologise to the members listed below who have obviously not received their list mail and
could have missed the vital message that would further their research.
