Hi Bev
The parish of Staunton, GLS, is only about 2 or 3 miles from the town of
Monmouth, MON. So it's quite likely that these refer to the same person.
Staunton of course had a parish church (C of E) but if the family were
dissenters they could well have travelled that short distance to attend in
Monmouth a chapel of their choice.

Subject: [Mon] Could this be the right person?
Hi,
I was wondering if someone would know if this information is correct
or if I
have the wrong birth.
I found this family in the 1881 Census for Monmouth,
Amos WHEELER, Age 54, Born Staunton, Gloucester, Occupation: Chairmaker.
I have found a birth on Family Search:
Amos WHEELER, 11 Dec 1826, Mary Street Independent, Monmouth.
I am wondering if this could be the right person because of where he was
born.
Amos did marry and live in Usk, Monmouth.
Any help I would be most grateful for.
Bev Simmonds,
Asutralia.
