Whoops !! I seem to have made a slight error - William LOCKE mentioned
below should read William PICK. So are there any LOCKs that have Rachel in
their tree? What a total muppet I am lately ! <grin> Will have to put that
down to the ageing process ! <grin>.

Subject: New found name - PICK
Hi List, having just browsed the Ancestry censuses online, I think I
may
have a new name to add to my SMITH family tree from Pontypool.
My William SMITH, born around 1813 around Pontypool, married a Sarah,
possible LOCKE or DAVIES about 1838. They had several children, the first
known being a set of twins born in 1849, Rachel and John, Rachel appears
on the 1851 census, John doesn't ! This could be a death or living
elsewhere with relatives.
A Rachel SMITH was found to have married a William LOCKE about 1867 which
would make her about 18 years old.
Are there any LOCKEs out there that have Rachel in their tree? Any
children known?
Any ideas would be most welcomed.
Kind regards
Mick McAllister
