Greetings all.Ive been following the thread about Usk Prison with
interest.
Not having anyone myself Banged up in that Establishment, unfortunately.
No,My bloke was Being Entertained during Her Majesties Pleasure,Holed up in Cardiff
Prison, in the 1891 census.
He was Charles ELLIOTT,[1856-1925] and he was my Great,Grandfather.
His wife Margaret, along with his two children, amongst them my Grandmother Mary Anne
ELLIOTT,[1882-1968]Were being entertained in the "Cardiff Union Workhouse",Here
in Canton,Cardiff.
So then,Does anyone know if the Records of Cardiff Prison, are as good as the ones for
Usk Prison are please. And if so,Where are they?
I'd like to Know what was Charles in the Nick for?
Thankyou.Graham.
